On-The-Fly Google Translate Script

This is a free script from Article Codex that I found through Digital Point forums but when I used it with my cPanel server, I had minor CURL configuration issues that I have worked to fix and repackaged the script here with instructions.

This script is really neat because it uses Google’s language translations software. A paid script that works just like this the one from World Lingo which costs well over $200. I feel that this one is actually better than the paid one.

So follow my tutorial if you got a similar error message that looks like this:

[14-Jul-2007 23:46:10] PHP Warning: curl_setopt() [<a href=’function.curl-setopt’>function.curl-setopt</a>]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in /home/user/public_html/translate/zh-CN/index.php on line 14

If you are getting this error then you need to supply your own custom php.ini script which I have included in the repackaged version of the script. You need to place the php.ini file in every directory of the different languages.

Ex: http://yourwebsite.com/translate/de/php.ini ; http://yourwebsite.com/translate/fr/php.ini

Download the repackaged script here:
